Our staff look forward to welcoming you and are committed to partnering with various local organizations so that you can find the information you need to feel confident in your new community.
Free Computer and Internet Access
Our Tisdale office is ready to provide you with access to our computer and Internet connection free of charge. You may also bring your own computer to access our WiFi connection. International calls are available if you bring a calling card or use Skype, and our printer, photocopier, fax, and scanner are also available free of charge to clients. Laptops are also available to loan.
Language Assessment and English Language Classes
If you are interested in taking an English class, our staff can connect you with a language assessor to determine your level of English and provide you with information about English classes and opportunities in your area.
Interpretation and Translation Services
While our office team speaks English only and are not certified translators, we can help you access over the phone interpretation. If you require a certified translation, we will help you access one in your language.
Immigration
You may use our public computers to fill out your immigration application forms or to have your documents printed, faxed, or scanned. Contact information for immigration, medical examinations, and police clearances can also be obtained through our office. If you need assistance with your immigration application, referrals can be made to connect you with a certified immigration consultant or immigration lawyer.
Workshops and Presentations
Our staff are able to give various workshops and presentations on a number of topics such as filing income tax, labour standards, immigration, buying a home, post- secondary education, and careers in trades. Upcoming workshops and presentations are listed on our website under events. If you would like to request a training for a group on a specific topic, please contact our office.
